But, and there is a but, I am worried how my clients; the users of the library and those who come to consultations would see me, whether they would see me as biased. This was also one of the factors which the owner of Calin Bleu considered too. The North East Sling Library was established to let parents try befor they buy and to give them the opportunity to see as wide a range of slings as possible. We have stocked Calin Bleu since we started and I firmly believe they are excellent starter slings. The gauze fabric also means they are cool. I vividly remember using the library one when at 36 weeks pregnant and boiling hot Henry and I needed ice cream, it remained supportive for the walk to shop and stopped me getting even hotter.
The library and consultancy will therefore remain independent. We have been supported by 10s of different companies and we will continue to support them. I will aim to give the advice which I think is suitable and I hope you will continue along your baby carrying journeys with me.
So I want to establish some boundaries:
1) I will not force you to use Calin Bleu slings if it is not the sling for you.
2) I will continue to be a Boba brand ambassador (a role I have had since 2011)
3) I will continue to stock as wide a range of slings as possible
4) I will continue to have wholesale accounts with several distributors
I hope you are as excited for me, as I am. I started work this week and am loving every minute so far.
